The AR-G is a novelty groveler from Advanced Research. It’s designed to pack the most foam into the smallest package for a fast fit in the worst of waves.
Borrowing performance aspects from the step down 01 platform, the G packs fast acceleration, paddle and maneuverability in a compact design. Extra foam on the G’s deck activates for stability and paddle at low speeds when the board is deeper in the water. At speed, the fuller rail stays connected to the wave face, translating to drive and forgiveness in tight arc turns. Under the hood is a flat rocker with a contemporary single to double concave and vee out the tail. Ride it as short and voluminous as possible.
