The AR-02 is a hybrid, everyday performance board with special provisions for drive when the waves are less than perfect.
Compared to a pure performance board the 02 is meant to be ridden an inch or two shorter and slightly wider. It makes use of a balanced outline, with the only emphasis being a subtle hip in front of the fins to make the outline more parallel, translating to down the line speed. Thickness concentrated under the chest makes it a respectable paddler and stable in reverse. The rocker is continuous and slightly relaxed with a sweet spot between the feet, so it carries flat sections while staying capable of surfing in tight arcs. Under the hood is a contemporary single to double concave with flat out the tail. Ride it an inch or two shorter than your HP shortboard.
